Being a mother is one of the toughest jobs in the world, and it feels almost impossible when you are young and don't have a solid support system. Hands Of Mercy Everywhere, Inc. (H.O.M.E.) a program of LSF is here to offer a safe, nurturing, and Christian environment to raise your child. 

H.O.M.E. - LSF does provide labor and delivery coaching to prepare moms for their upcoming delivery. Cradle Care housemothers have been trained in trust-based relational intervention (TBRI®) and infant mental health. They are on site to guide moms and babies from pregnancy - 2 years old.

WELCOME H.O.M.E.

When you arrive at Hands of Mercy Everywhere, Inc. (H.O.M.E.) a program of LSF you will receive a tour and orientation of the campus. This will include your new private room with cable tv and wifi until 10pm.

An inventory checklist will be conducted based on one allowable suitcase per person. Any unfinished portions of the application will be required to be completed upon arrival with case management. Girls are permitted to have a cell phone with provisions after finishing an internet safety class. H.O.M.E. - LSF has an allowance structure whereby each client can earn up to $100.00 a month.

All residents must agree to follow our handbook rules, participate in life skills, attend school, go to youth group/ church with everyone, try different community service projects, participate in counseling, be a part of group outings all while working on your individual service plan.

Residents must bring a State of Florida Identification (ID) card or their original birth certificate, their original Social Security (SS) card and know their Medicaid number. Medical care cannot be provided, nor can a driver’s permit be administered, without a SS card.

Residents will have access to educational opportunities including our own prep vocational school, (Lakeside Center coming spring of 2024) offering hospitality, culinary, daycare worker training, and certified nursing assistance (CNA) classes for teen girls who have dropped out of school. H.O.M.E. - LSF also offers food, clothing, life skills, baby items, counseling, mental health assessments, and medication management at no cost to our teens. Referrals to other community services is also a part of our commitment to help our youth be successfully as we lovingly transition them to adulthood and rebirth.

They focus is on the parent-child relationship and contributing factors like:

  • Mother/child health and development;

  • Developmental stages, ages birth to five;

  • Trauma, triggers, and calming strategies for young parents;

  • Pregnancy and childbirth, basic infant care, and safety; and

  • Parent and child relationships.

Moms in our maternity program are provided with baby strollers, car seats, diaper bag, diapers, and other baby gear. Moms and babies have their own decorated room with cable TV for those long nights. Our moms have access evidence based programs: from Early Learning Coalition, MIECHV, Healthy Families, Healthy Start and Partners for a Healthy Baby. Transportation or on-site visits are provided. Our program has given many teen moms and their babies a successful beginning to a new life.
