Volunteering at Hands Of Mercy Everywhere, Inc. (H.O.M.E) positively impacts the lives of young teen moms and gives back to your community. As you enter the doors of H.O.M.E you'll know you are in a special place doing amazing things in the lives of teen moms and their babies. Your simple acts will help build healthy relationships with young teen mothers who are eager to make positive changes in their lives.
What You Need
-
Positive attitude and ability to be a poised role model for our teen mothers
-
Must be 21 years of age
-
Minimum of high school diploma or GED
-
Ability and desire to work and live with teenage mothers and infants/toddlers
-
A clean driving record for the last 2 years
-
Valid driver’s license
-
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Flexibility and willingness to work a wide array of hours, such as daytime, nighttime, weekend, holidays and overnights
-
Ability to pass a Level 2 background screen
-
Authorized to work in the United States
How You Can Help

Arts & Crafts - Sharing your gift of art or teaching a new craft

Fundraising - Helping with events or ideas to raise funds for H.O.M.E

Garage Sales - Helping collect items to sale, pricing items, keeping sale organized

Group Outings/Picnics - Helping with driving, organizations of groups, or ideas for outings
-
Lawn Service/Yard Work - Mowing, tree trimming, irrigation, cleaning debris, etc.

Maintenance/Painting - Small to big home repair, plumbing, ac/heat, painting and wall repair, etc.

Mentoring - Sharing your gifts or skills to help the lives of our girls

Office/Computer - Helping with light office work, filing, computer inputting, organizing, etc.

Preparing Mailings - Stuffing letters, labeling, stamping, etc.

Baby Snuggles - Sharing your time with our babies, rocking, reading, etc.

Sorting Baby Items - Organizing donations, keeping track of needs

Tutors - Teaching all our teens and their babies subjects to help them succeed
